Historical Music Timeline

I’m a sucker for things that show history in an easy-to-consume format, and I’m a sucker for music. So this project over on Google Research double-suckered me.

It’s worth looking at the official blog post the Google-bots gave to understand how the thing works and what the numbers / images represent, but just poking around is incredibly addictive.
